Call for Papers and Minisymposia
The International Workshop on Computational Engineering 2009 will provide a forum for state-of-the-art research in Computational Engineering and cover all aspects including modelling, numerical methods, efficient (parallel) implementation, software, visualisation, validation, or specific application scenarios.
The workshop is organised by the Research Group FOR493 (funded by the German Reasearch Foundation), the International Graduate School of Science and Engineering (IGSSE, Technische Universität München), and the Graduate School Computational Engineering (Technische Universität Darmstadt). In particular, FOR493 will present the final results of its 6-year funding period, thus defining the special focus topic 'Fluid-Structure-Interaction'. In addition to that, a number of minisymposia and invited lectures will address selected topics from Computational Engineering.
Proposals for minisymposia with 4-5 presentations should include the title of the minisymposium, a short abstract, and a list of presentations. The presenters of the minisymposia should be selected internationally and not be restricted to local working groups. After the notification of acceptance, a one-page abstract will be required for each presentation.
In addition to the minisymposia proposals, one-page abstracts for contributed talks are welcome as well.
